T20 Whack Champions

Congratulations to our T20 XI who have been crowned champions of the West London T20 Whack.

After a seven game league season, the team reached the finals day which was held at our ground this bank holiday Monday. Harrow, Indian Gymkhana, Brentham and Perivale Phoenicians were the sides in action.

Our semi final was against Indian Gymkhana, who we restricted to 143-9 thanks mainly to fine bowling from Sanjay Mishra (4-29) and Rishbah Choubey (3-22). In reply we made up for the loss of an early wicket with Rishbah Choubey (49) and Shreyas Malur (54 not out) seeing us home to a comfortable 7 wicket win. (SCORECARD)

The final was against Brentham who have won this competition in the past. Winning the toss and electing to bat, we posted a very competitive 200-8. Dylan Rawal (66 off 36), Sanjay Mishra (37 off 22) and Rishabh Choubey (55 off 35) all taking advantage of a very good batting pitch. In reply the team took some great catches to support some excellent bowling from Jermey Christian (3-15), Sachin Singh (2-22) and Devang Kalariya (2-4) to bowl out Brentham for 128. (SCORECARD)

Two impressive performances on finals day to become worthy champions. This team is a mix of players from different playing XI's at our club. Coming together to form a midweek T20 side. Many players have played during the season, and it is has been a very well organised and fun competition to be involved in. We congratulate everyone that has taken part this season, not just those who played on finals day.
